Salvimar Step Footpocket
This footpocket is a great alternative to Pathos. It is probably the 2nd lightest on the market and is most notable for the extreme comfort. Most people can wear these barefoot, no problem! Although soft, the performance is good because they conform to your foot and therefore disperse the pressure and load efficiently. This keeps the pocket tight to your foot, even though the pocket is soft. They are a more durable alternative to the Pathos. A popular modification of this pocket is to cut the tendons off at about 4 inches up from the toes. This lightens the pocket considerably and makes the blade more snappy, like the Pathos. Another popular option is to buy two sizes of footpockets since the drill holes are universal across sizes. This allows you to have a smaller size for barefoot or thin socks, as well as a larger size for thick, warm socks. We often send a "generic" form (as pictured) of exactly the same as the Salvimar footpocket, depending on the supplier availability.
